The sample universe was 32 nurses from the Chepén state hospital to measure the burnout syndrome and 45 adult patients discharged for COVID-19 to measure the quality of nursing care, who met the inclusion criteria. The information was obtained through the instruments: Questionnaire to measure burnout syndrome and the Questionnaire to measure the quality of nursing care in times of pandemic in a state hospital. The results obtained were tabulated, processed in the SPSS version 23 program and presented in simple tables with numerical and percentage frequencies. The following results were reached: The level of burnout syndrome in nurses at the Chepén State Hospital was located at a moderate level of 96.88% and a high level of 3.12%; On the other hand, the quality of nursing care according to the opinion of adult patients discharged for COVID-19, indicated that the quality of care is regular in 73.33% and poor in 26.67%. Concluding that the level of burnout is moderate to high and the quality of nursing care is predominantly low to regular.El presente estudio de investigación, de tipo cuantitativo, descriptivo de corte transversal, cuyo propósito fue determinar el nivel del síndrome de burnout en las enfermeras y la calidad del cuidado que brinda el profesional de enfermería según opinión de los pacientes adultos dados de alta por COVID – 19 en el Hospital Estatal de Chepén. El universo muestral fue 32 enfermeras del hospital estatal de Chepén para medir el síndrome de burnout y 45 pacientes adultos dados de alta por COVID -19 para medir la calidad del cuidado enfermero, que cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión. La información se obtuvo mediante los instrumentos: Cuestionario para medir el síndrome de burnout y el Cuestionario para medir calidad del cuidado enfermero en tiempos de pandemia de un hospital estatal. Los resultados obtenidos fueron tabulados, procesados en el programa SPSS versión 23 y presentados en tablas simples con frecuencia numéricas y porcentuales. Se llegó a los siguientes resultados: El nivel del síndrome de burnout en enfermeros del Hospital Estatal de Chepén, se ubicó en un nivel moderado del 96.88% y un nivel alto del 3.12%; por otro lado, la calidad del cuidado enfermero según opinión de pacientes adultos dados de alta por COVID – 19, indicó que la calidad asistencial es regular en un 73.33% y mala en un 26.67%.
