Hemodialysis. Victor Lazarte Echegaray Hospital, between January to April 2016. The sample universe consisted of 55 patients who met the inclusion criteria. The instruments used to collect information were the questionnaire to assess the level of self-esteem and Type Rating Scale family attitude in the family caregiver to the patient with CVC for hemodialysis. The results were tabulated and presented in tables of double entry, so numerical and percentage, the test of independence chi-square criteria (x²) was applied, reached the following conclusions: The level of self-esteem of patients with CVC for hemodialysis Media is 56%. Family attitude of relatives of patients with CVC for hemodialysis is 50% negative and 50% of family caregivers attitude is positive. The full 50% have a negative family attitude, 18% of patients present average level autoesima; and 50% of family caregivers who have a positive family attitude, 21% of their patients have a level of self-esteem media. Victor Lazarte Echegaray Hospital.La presente investigación de tipo cuantitativo, descriptivo, de corte transversal correlacional se realizó para determinar la relación que existe entre el nivel de autoestima y la actitud familiar en pacientes con catéter venoso central (CVC) para hemodiálisis. Unidad de Hemodiálisis. Hospital Víctor Lazarte Echegaray entre los meses de enero a abril del 2016. El universo muestral estuvo constituído por 55 pacientes que cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión. Los instrumentos utilizados para recolectar la información fueron el Cuestionario para valorar el Nivel de Autoestima y la Escala de Valoración del Tipo de actitud familiar en el familiar cuidador hacia el paciente con CVC para hemodiálisis. Los resultados fueron tabulados y presentados en tablas de una y doble entrada, de forma numérica y porcentual, se aplicó el test de independencia de criterios chicuadrado (x²), llegando a las siguientes conclusiones: El Nivel de Autoestima de los pacientes con CVC para hemodiálisis es Media en un 56%. La Actitud Familiar de los familiares de los pacientes con CVC para hemodiálisis es 50% negativa y 50% positiva.Del total de familiares cuidadores el 50% tienen una actitud familiar negativa, el 18% de sus pacientes presentan nivel de autoesima media; y del 50% de los familiares cuidadores que tienen una actitud familiar positiva, el 21% de sus pacientes presentan un nivel de autoestima media.
