Con tipo de estudio no experimental, diseño de estudio descriptivo correlacional causal y método de investigación hipotético-deductivo. La muestra fue de 30 participantes, entre funcionarios de la MDEP y ciudadanos. Se utilizó la encuesta mediante dos cuestionarios tipo escala de Likert. Se tomó una muestra piloto de 10 personas para la prueba de confiabilidad con Alfa de Cronbach y la validación de contenido mediante juicio de expertos. Los resultados fueron presentados mediante tablas y figuras utilizando el programa Excel y contrastación de hipótesis mediante Tau-b de Kendall y Rho de Spearman usando SPSS v. 23. Se concluye, mediante valores Tau-b de Kendall = 0.354 con significancia de 0.00 menor al 1% (P<0.01) y coeficiente Rho de Spearman = 0.463 (positiva moderada) en que el Presupuesto Participativo fortalece significativamente la Gobernabilidad democrática de la Municipalidad Distrital de El Porvenir, 2019, predominando en las variables Presupuesto Participativo y Gobernabilidad democrática el nivel regular con 50% y 53.33% respectivamente, seguido del nivel bueno con 43.33% y 36.67% respectivamente.ABSTRACT The objective of this research was to determine the effects of the participatory budget on the democratic governance of the District Municipality of El Porvenir, 2019. With a non-experimental type of study, causal correlational descriptive study design and hypothetical-deductive research method. The sample consisted of 30 participants, among MDEP officials and citizens. The survey was used through two Likert scale questionnaires. A pilot sample of 10 people was taken for the reliability test with Cronbach's Alpha and content validation through expert judgment. The results were presented through tables and figures using the Excel program and hypothesis testing using Kendall's Tau-b and Spearman's Rho using SPSS v. 2. 3.
