The Río Abiseo's National Park, it is known as patrimony of humanity, for his cultural moral values and expressed natives in a lot of archeological places, inside the one that stand out: The Gran Pajatén, The Pinchudos, The Apisuncho among others; In the same way the habitat belongs to the Mono Choro Cola Amarillo, (Lagothrix Flavicauda), scenic zones and fauna and flora habitat in danger of extinction. Taking into account resources that natural area possesses the RANP, this one administration he has been always working, to develop the conditions once such as the Master plan were made suitable in order to his public use, through documents of handling and the specific- use plans, the one that they indicate to the tourism as one important activity that would link to the world with this one moral values natural area, permitting to be known, cherished and preserved for his important intrinsic characteristics. This one opening natural area would mean to so far away communities that they have gone into me as a true development and tourist- diversification phenomenon. He is for this reason than today, than this longed for opening not yet, it is necessary to assume a self-criticism attitude to determine whereon attitude the bordering communities meet to the area; Knowing if the necessary conditions count on could have welcomed tourist nationals and foreigners, and in like manner developing important possibilities improving of the life quality of the inhabitants. Being this the case present study determined than The communities of Los Alisos, Pataz, Pias and Llacuabamba, they are the spaces that present direct influence in relation to the entrance toward the Río Abiseo's National Park and specially to his three zones Historical cultural, where they find archeological vestiges more important of this region. It is necessary to foresee today the future impacts and to secure the stock of the natural and cultural elements that characterize us and they circumscribe us as social groups various and valuable.El presente trabajo de investigación trata del estudio de las potencialidades turísticas que presenta las comunidades de los Alisos, Pataz, Pias y LLacuabamba; pertenecientes a la zona de amortiguamiento del lado occidental del Parque Nacional del Río Abiseo (PNRA). Esta Área Natural Protegida por el Estado peruano, se encuentra ubicada en la región San Martín y colinda con las provincias de la sierra de la libertad: Pataz y Bolívar. El Parque Nacional del Río Abiseo, es conocido como patrimonio de la Humanidad, por sus valores culturales y naturales expresados en un gran número de sitios arqueológicos, dentro de los que destacan: el Gran Pajatén, Los Pinchudos, El Apisuncho entre otros; del mismo modo es el hábitat del Mono Choro Cola Amarilla, (Lagothrix Flavicauda), zonas paisajísticas y hábitat de fauna y flora en peligro de extinción. Teniendo en cuenta los recursos que posee el PNRA, la administración de esta área natural ha estado siempre trabajando, para desarrollar las condiciones adecuadas para su uso público, a través de documentos de manejo tales como el Plan Maestro y los planes de uso específico, los que señalan al turismo como una importante actividad que vincularía al mundo con los valores de esta área natural, permitiendo ser conocidos, valorados y conservados por sus importantes características intrínsecas. La apertura de esta área natural significaría un verdadero fenómeno de desarrollo y diversificación turística para comunidades tan alejadas como las que se ha estudiado. Es por esto que hoy, que esta ansiada apertura aún no se ha materializado, es necesario asumir una actitud de autocrítica para determinar en que posición se encuentran las comunidades aledañas al área; saber si cuentan con las condiciones necesarias para poder recibir turistas nacionales y extranjeros, y asimismo desarrollar importantes posibilidades de mejora de la calidad de vida de los pobladores. Siendo así el presente estudio determinó que las comunidades de Los Alisos, Pataz, Pias y Llacuabamba, son los espacios que presentan influencia directa en relación a la entrada hacia el Parque Nacional del Río Abiseo y en especial a sus tres zonas histórico culturales, donde se encuentran los vestigios arqueológicos más importantes de esta región. De tal modo podemos determinar, que los resultados a los que se ha arribado respecto del estudio de estas comunidades, es que presentan importantes posibilidades turísticas, capaces de desarrollar el turismo en la zona; expresadas en, diversidad de recursos de carácter natural y cultural. Estos últimos se puede observar hoy en día en el folklore de los pueblos, así como sus modos de vida que los hace únicos, valiosos y capaces de atraer visitantes. Del mismo modo, se ha determinado que una segunda potencialidad; se expresa en la organización comunal, que se ha desarrollado para poder impulsar el turismo en sus comunidades, a través de los Comités de Gestión Turítica, apoyados por la Subjefatura del PNRA en cada uno de estos lugares, y refrendado por la participación comunal de los demás pobladores que se muestran llanos a apoyar la causa del desarrollo turístico, como alternativa para paliar la pobreza y el desempleo en sus pueblos. Finalmente lo que se ha podido determinar es que las autoridades también se encuentran interesadas y dispuestas a realizar acciones en beneficios del turismo, así como brindar apoyo a los comuneros que quieran sumarse a esta tarea. Por estas razones, se puede afirmar que las comunidades anteriormente mencionadas, cuentan con importantes potencialidades capaces de impulsar el desarrollo de la actividad turística en el sitio, y que de abrirse al turismo el Parque Nacional del Río Abiseo, éstas podrían desarrollar a partir de sus propios valores, subproductos turísticos que involucren totalmente a los pobladores en la prestación de servicios turísticos de carácter familiar y comunal, dentro de un marco de sostenibilidad ambiental y sociocultural.
