Para la correlación de variables se utilizó la prueba estadística de Chi cuadrado, llegando a los siguientes resultados: El 57,1% de los pacientes post- operados de artroplastia total de cadera en el servicio de cirugía del Hospital Víctor Lazarte Echegaray, presentan una adaptación inadecuada y el 42,9 adecuada; el 42,9% de los pacientes post -operados de artroplastia total de cadera presentaron un grado de ansiedad leve, y ligera respectivamente y solo el 14,3% moderada. Existe una relación significativa entre la adaptabilidad y la ansiedad (sig<0.05)The present cross-sectional correlational descriptive investigation was carried out with the purpose of determining the relationship between adaptation and the degree of anxiety of the post-operative total hip arthroplasty patient at the Víctor Lazarte Echegaray Hospital in a sample population of 14 patients. To whom two instruments were applied: scale to assess adaptation and the Hamilton anxiety scale, for the correlation of variables the Chi-square statistical test was used, reaching the following results: 57 .1% of post-operated total hip arthroplasty patients in the surgery service of the Víctor Lazarte Echegaray Hospital present an inadequate adaptation and 42.9 adequate; 42.9% of post-operated total hip arthroplasty patients presented a degree of mild and light anxiety, respectively, and only 14.3% moderate.
