Benavides Samander, Gustavo AdolfoSanta Cruz Damián, Mervin Joel6/15/20166/15/20162016https://hdl.handle.net/20.500.14414/1152La presente investigación realizada en la Unidad Oncológica del Hospital de Alta complejidad de La Libertad “Virgen de la Puerta” durante los meses de Noviembre – Diciembre del 2015; tuvo como propósito determinar la prevalencia de los efectos colaterales y reacciones adversas en cavidad bucal de pacientes con quimioterapia de neoplasia maligna gastrointestinales. Se realizó un estudio básico, prospectivo y descriptivo, en una muestra de 18 pacientes, entre hombres y mujeres, mayores de 18 años con diagnóstico definitivo de cáncer gástrico, colon o recto; que recibieron sólo y por primera vez el 12° ciclo de tratamiento de quimioterapia esquema FOLFOX IV; a los cuales se les realizó una encuesta estructurada y un examen clínico post tratamiento de quimioterapia. Se tomó en cuenta los principales efectos colaterales y reacciones adversas de la post quimioterapia en cavidad bucal: mucositis oral, gingivitis y disgueusia según género y edad. Encontrándose como resultado que la prevalencia de los efectos colaterales y reacciones adversas en cavidad bucal de los pacientes con quimioterapia de neoplasia maligna gastrointestinales del Hospital Virgen de la Puerta, Trujillo 2015, fueron de 88.9% de mucositis, 100% algún tipo de inflamación gingival y el 77.8% de disgueusia.The present investigation realized in the Oncológica Unit of the Hospital of High complexity of the Freedom "Virgin of the Door" during the months of November - December of the 2015; The purpose of this study was to determine the prevalence of side effects and adverse reactions in the oral cavity of patients with gastrointestinal malignant neoplasia chemotherapy.
