The sample universe consisted of 30 patients treated at the Tuberculosis Control Program, to which were administered two questionnaires: level of knowledge about TBC and risk of abandonment of treatment in patients with pulmonary tuberculosis. The results show that 50 percent of patients surveyed have a high level of knowledge and 30 percent of patients has an average knowledge level, also both have a low risk of abandoning the treatment, while the other q 20 percent have a low level of knowledge and a high risk of treatment dropout.La presente investigación de tipo descriptivo correlacional fue realizado en pacientes adultos atendidos en el Programa de Control de Tuberculosis del Hospital de Apoyo Chepén, con la finalidad de describir la relación existente entre el nivel de conocimientos sobre TBC con el riesgo de abandono del tratamiento en pacientes atendidos en el PCT HACh 2012. El universo Muestral estuvo constituido por 30 pacientes atendidos en el Programa de Control de Tuberculosis, a los cuales se le aplicó dos cuestionarios: Nivel de Conocimientos Sobre TBC y Riesgo de Abandono de Tratamiento en Pacientes con TBC Pulmonar.
