This topic is becoming ever more important as a decisive influence on both personal and professional life. The theoretical argument is supported by several countries (Uruguay, Venezuela and Mexico) and this time applied to the Peruvian reality. Also in works of different authors: Chiavenato (1993), Cattell (1985), Galvin (1999), Goleman (2000), Hernandez (2003), among others. The research design was: Applied and Descriptive. For the accomplishment of this work of investigation it is necessary to know and to differ between what is a Bank, a Box and a Financier: I PAY: financial organization his function is the Financial Intermediation with services of: lending’s, credits, changes, etc. They concentrate the warehouses of the population and according to his policies, proceed to place them in the community solicitor already is to invest in business or to increase his heritage. BOX: institution of the financial system, the MUNICIPAL BOX OF SAVING AND CREDIT (CMAC) is that one that catches resources of the public and to realize operations of financing preferably to the MYPES and the population not favored by the traditional banking they center in provinces. MUNICIPAL BOX OF SAVING AND CREDIT OF TRUJILLO (CMAC-T) Entity mike financier with the aim to attend to the small and medium businessmen facilitating the access to credits to them, and using them as support to be able to do company in our country. Whose MISSION is: To offer financial solutions in rapid and opportune form to the clients, with a human equipment orientated towards the excellence, contributing to the economic and social development of the country. For facility of the clients known and called BOX TRUJILLO. The population was comprised of 12 employees belonging to the General Fund area, the Department of Finance of the CMAC-Trujillo. Among the tools and techniques for collecting data, use an emotional intelligence test which contains 42 questions and a personal interview in which he spoke of the issue and made 4 questions. The results indicated that emotional intelligence influences high grade and job performance of workers in the Municipal box of saving and Credit of Trujillo, Finance Department General Fund area.La presente investigación estuvo dirigida a identificar el nivel de influencia de la inteligencia emocional en el desempeño laboral de los trabajadores de la Caja Municipal de Ahorro y Crédito de Trujillo, departamento de Finanzas del área de Caja General. Este tema viene tomando cada vez mayor importancia debido a que influyen decisivamente en la vida tanto personal como laboral. El marco teórico se sustento en tesis de varios países (Uruguay, Venezuela y México) y esta vez aplicada a la realidad peruana. Así mismo en obras de diferentes autores: Chiavenato (1993), Cattell (1985), Galvis (1999), Goleman (2000), Hernández (2003), entre otros. El diseño de la investigación fue: Aplicada y Descriptiva. Para la realización de este trabajo de investigación es necesario conocer y diferenciar entre lo que es un Banco, una Caja y una Financiera: BANCO: organización financiera su función es la Intermediación Financiera con servicios de: préstamos, créditos, cambios, etc. Concentran los depósitos de la población y según sus políticas, proceden a colocarlos en la comunidad solicitante ya sea para invertir en negocios o para aumentar su patrimonio. CAJA: institución del sistema financiero, la CAJA MUNICIPAL DE AHORRO Y CREDITO (CMAC) es aquella que capta recursos del público y para realizar operaciones de financiamiento preferentemente a las MYPES y la población no favorecida por la banca tradicional se concentran en provincias. CAJA MUNICIPAL DE AHORRO Y CREDITO DE TRUJILLO (CMAC-T) Entidad micro financiera con el objetivo de atender a los pequeños y medianos empresarios facilitándoles el acceso a créditos, y sirviéndoles de apoyo para poder hacer empresa en nuestro país. Cuya MISION es: Brindar soluciones financieras en forma rápida y oportuna a los clientes, con un equipo humano orientado hacia la excelencia, contribuyendo al desarrollo económico y social del país. Para facilidad de los clientes conocida y llamada CAJA TRUJILLO. La población estuvo comprendida por 12 colaboradores pertenecientes al área de Caja General, del departamento de Finanzas de la CMAC- Trujillo. Entre los instrumentos y técnicas para la recolección de datos, se utilizo un test de inteligencia emocional el cual contiene 42 preguntas y una entrevista personalizada en la cual se hablo del tema y se realizaron 4 preguntas.
