During the development, it was applied a no experimental – transversal design, bearing in mind that for the recollection of data, the observation was used, and so as documental analysis and an interview, which were processed using Watercad to obtain pressure and velocity values admissible by the RNE. The main posed problem is concentrated in which would be the operation rules of the water supply network of Cutervo, having in mind that this one must fulfill the current norms and offer an efficient service for the city. Is in that way, that the diagnosis of service pressures determined that the current conditions of the service do not fulfill with the current norms, and so, after the preparation of the network operation rules, the behavior of the hydraulic flow presented a correct performance in its pressures and velocities, fulfilling with the current norm. Thus, it was concluded that the operation rules of the supply water network guarantee effectiveness and efficacy.Este proyecto se realizó en la ciudad de Cutervo, en Cajamarca, y tuvo como objetivo proponer las reglas de operación de la red de distribución de agua potable ubicado en dicha ciudad, empleando programas como Autocad y Watercad. Durante su desarrollo, se aplicó un diseño no experimental – transversal, teniendo presente que para la recolección de datos se usó guías de observación, análisis documentales y una entrevista, los cuales fueron procesados mediante el software Watercad para obtener valores de presiones y velocidades permisibles por el RNE. El principal problema planteado se concentra en cuáles serían las reglas de operación de la red de distribución de agua potable de la ciudad de Cutervo, teniendo en cuenta que este debe cumplir con las normativas vigentes y ofrecer un servicio eficiente para la ciudad. Es así como, el diagnóstico de presiones de servicio determinó que las condiciones actuales del servicio no cumplen con la normativa vigente, para que, luego de realizar las reglas de operación de la red, el comportamiento del flujo hidráulico presentó un correcto desempeño en sus presiones y velocidades, cumpliendo con la normativa vigente.
