Mer var. Red Trujillana in the town of Rayampampa, Salpo district, Otuzco province, department of La Libertad. To measure the effect of the different weights of basal shoots, shoots with weights between 10 and 20 grams were selected as treatment 1; from 21 to 30 grams, treatment 2; from 31 to 40 grams, treatment 3 and as control treatment greater than 40 grams (weight more used by the farmer). In the obtaining of the data, the root length in centimeters, the number of leaves, the number of roots and the fresh weight in grams of the root and the aerial part of the plant were evaluated. Obtaining as results that for the parameters of root length, number of leaves and fresh weight of the root and aerial part of the plant, the weight of the basal fruit bud has a significant effect for rooting, finding the T3 treatments (31 to 40). grams.brote-1) and T0 (more than 40 grams.brote-1) with the best results. While the bud weight does not have a significant effect on the root number parameter.El presente trabajo se realizó en los meses de noviembre del 2017 y febrero del 2018, teniendo como objetivo determinar el efecto de diferentes pesos de brotes basales de fruto en el enraizamiento de Ananas comosus L. Mer var. Roja Trujillana en el centro poblado de Rayampampa, distrito de Salpo, provincia Otuzco, departamento de La Libertad. Para la medir el efecto de los diferentes pesos de brotes basales se seleccionó brotes con pesos entre 10 y 20 gramos como tratamiento 1; de 21 a 30 gramos, tratamiento 2; de 31 a 40 gramos, tratamiento 3 y como tratamiento testigo mayor a 40 gramos (peso más utilizado por el agricultor). En la obtención de los datos se evaluó longitud de raíces en centímetros, el número de hojas, número de raíces y el peso fresco en gramos de la raíz y la parte aérea de la planta. Obteniendose como resultados que a los parámetros de longitud de raíz, número de hojas y peso fresco de la raíz y parte aérea de la planta el peso del brote basal de fruto si tiene un efecto significativo para el enraizamiento encontrando los tratamientos T3 (31 a 40 gramos.brote-1) y el T0 (más de 40 gramos.brote-1) con los mejores resultados.
