Ingresarán al estudio los pacientes con fractura de diáfisis tibial atendidos en el Servicio de Traumatología del Hospital Belén de Trujillo durante el periodo 2018 – 2022, se acudirá archivo de historias clínicas, desde donde se procederá a seleccionar por muestreo aleatorio simple a los pacientes que ingresaran al estudio; para luego revisar los expedientes clínicos correspondientes para verificar al cumplimiento de los criterios de selección. Verificar dentro de la historia clínica la evolución para identificar la presencia o ausencia de infección de sitio operatorio. Se recogerán los datos pertinentes del reporte operatorio para verificar la variable fractura expuesta, así como otros datos para identificar a las variables intervinientes y registrarlas en la hoja de recolección de datos.Abstract Tibial bone fracture is determined as one of the most common traumatic diseases to treat patients in emergency services and, in this special context, the complication being infection of the active site. Patients with tibial shaft fracture treated in the Traumatology Service of the Belén de Trujillo Hospital during the period 2018 - 2022 will be included in the study. The clinical history archive will be consulted, from where the patients who will enter the study will be selected by simple random sampling; then the corresponding clinical records will be reviewed to verify compliance with the selection criteria. Check the evolution within the clinical history to identify the presence or absence of surgical site infection.
