District of Chiclayo, 2015. It has been considered the type of applied research, on the basis of an explanatory design, and the sample consisted of 58 adult patients in the process of treatment of peritoneal dialysis, which work by applying the methods and techniques of quantitative and qualitative research. The results of this research realize that family support is presented with appropriate information resources, emotional and instrumental that favors the adaptation of the adult patients with treatment of peritoneal dialysis. In addition, it has been noticed that patients who receive dialysis, have changed their lifestyles to survive, and learning, and conducting activities to care for yourself, with the modifications that you impose the disease; all of which can help you feel good, stay in your social environment, labor and family independently. The success of this therapy will depend on the ability of the self that have to develop activities of everyday life and the effects that it imposes the disease; this being an area that requires assessment and orientation of the self with the support of family supportLa presente tesis se realizó con la finalidad de analizar la influencia del soporte familiar de los pacientes adultos en el tratamiento de Diálisis Peritoneal del Hospital Nacional “Almanzor Aguinaga Asenjo”- ESSALUD. Distrito de Chiclayo, año 2015. Se ha considerado el tipo de investigación aplicada, teniendo como base un diseño explicativo, y la muestra constó de 58 pacientes adultos en proceso de tratamiento de Diálisis Peritoneal, con los cuales se trabajó aplicando los métodos y técnicas de la investigación cuantitativa y cualitativa. Los resultados de esta investigación dan cuenta que el soporte familiar se presenta con adecuados recursos de información, emocionales e instrumentales que favorece la adaptación de los pacientes adultos con tratamiento de Diálisis Peritoneal. Además se ha podido percibir que los pacientes que reciben diálisis, han cambiado sus estilos de vida para sobrevivir, aprendiendo y realizando actividades para cuidar de sí mismo, con las modificaciones que le impone la enfermedad; todo ello le permite sentirse bien, mantenerse en su entorno social, laboral y familiar independientemente.
