The sample universe consisted of 35 nurses who met the inclusion criteria. For the recollection of data were utilized two instruments: Level of knowledge consisting of 20 questions and attitude to practice biosecurity measures 8 items. The collected data were processed through SPSS 19.0 software system and presented in tables of simple and double entry. To determine the relationship parametric test was used independence criteria using the distribution test "Chi square". The findings led to the following conclusions: 57.1 percent of the nursing staff has a high level of knowledge; 54.3 percent shows a proper attitude; when subjected to the correlation test it reveals that there is significant relationship between the level of knowledge and attitude to practice biosecurity measures (p = 0.0312)La presente investigación cuantitativa, descriptiva de corte transversal, tuvo como propósito establecer la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento y la actitud para la práctica de medidas de bioseguridad en enfermeras que laboran en el servicio de Emergencia del Hospital Víctor Lazarte Echegaray de Trujillo. El universo muestral estuvo constituido por 35 enfermeras que cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión. La recolección de datos se realizó a través de dos instrumentos: Nivel de conocimiento que consta de 20 preguntas y actitud para la práctica de medidas de bioseguridad con 8 ítems. Los datos recolectados fueron procesados a través de sistema Software SPSS 19.0 y presentados en cuadros de simples y doble entrada. Para determinar la relación se empleó la prueba paramétrica de independencia de criterios utilizando la distribución prueba “Chi cuadrado”. Los hallazgos condujeron a las siguientes conclusiones: el 57.1 por ciento del personal de enfermería presenta un nivel de conocimiento alto, el 54.3 por ciento muestra una actitud adecuada; al ser sometida a la prueba de correlación revela que existe relación significativa entre el nivel de conocimiento y la actitud para la práctica de medidas de bioseguridad (p=0.0312).spainfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessConocimientoactitudbioseguridadinfo:eu-repo/semantics/bachelorThesis
