It was carried out with the purpose of determining the relationship between maternal bio sociocultural factors and level of knowledge about neonatal jaundice in the Hospital of Basic Specialties La Noria, the sample was constituted By 30 mothers of newborns who received phototherapy treatment. For data collection, a semi-structured questionnaire was applied to mothers who met the inclusion criteria. The following conclusions are: In the biocultural factors, it was found that 73.4% of mothers their ages fluctuate between 20 to 35 years, 63.3% of mothers have one child and 50% of mothers have secondary education. In relation to the level of knowledge, 63.3% of the mothers had good knowledge and 36.7% had a regular level of knowledge. A statistically relationship was found with the maternal age factor. There was no statistically relationship between parity and education level.El presente estudio es de tipo cuantitativo, descriptivo, correlacional y de corte transversal, se realizó con el propósito de determinar la relación entre factores biosocioculturales maternos y nivel de conocimiento sobre Ictericia neonatal, Hospital de Especialidades Básicas La Noria. La muestra estuvo constituida por 30 madres de recién nacidos que recibieron fototerapia. Para la recolección de datos se utilizó un cuestionario semi estructurado aplicado a madres que cumplieron los criterios de inclusión. Se llegó a los siguientes resultados: en la variable factores bioculturales; 73,4% de madres la edad fue entre 20 y 35 años, el 63,3% tiene solo un hijo y 50% tienen grado de instrucción secundaria. En el nivel de conocimiento materno sobre Ictericia Neonatal, 63.3% presenta nivel de conocimiento bueno y 36,7% nivel de conocimiento regular.
