Esta investigación es de tipo mixta, ya que se han combinado los enfoques cuantitativo y cualitativo para su estudio; así mismo se cuenta con dos variables para su análisis, el soporte familiar y la adaptación al tratamiento. Además, se ha utilizado la metodología de tipo descriptiva haciendo uso de técnicas como la entrevista, la observación, la encuesta y la revisión de fuentes documentarias. Las diversas técnicas y la aplicación de instrumentos han permitido recolectar información para luego realizar un profundo análisis, comprobando así que el 100% de los pacientes encuestados ha afirmado que su familia ha sido un gran soporte para su proceso de adaptación; además, de que un 67% de los encuestados considera como oportuno y adecuado el tiempo en el que ha logrado adaptarse.ABSTRACT This research focuses on the study of patients with End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) and aims to know the influence of family support in the process of adapting the treatment of hemodialysis patients, this has been carried out taking into account a sample of 58 patients, who carry out their hemodialysis treatment at the High Complexity Hospital "Virgen de la Puerta" located in the district of La Esperanza in the city of Trujillo.
