The prescription forms received in the USMEN service were used for the study, being evaluated a total of 37 formats. The results were grouped in relation to the diagnosis and weight condition of the newborn, in addition to the gender and according to the gestational age. From the analysis of the results it is concluded that of the total of neonates that received parenteral nutrition, 89.1% had a preterm gestational age, of which the use of nutritional therapy was in prematurity with 21%, prematurity plus sepsis with 18 %, extreme prematurity with 15%, among others. The 10.9% had a gestational age at term, of which the use of parenteral nutrition was: in sepsis with 50%, followed by intestinal atresia and anus rectal malformation with 25% respectivelyEl informe tiene como objetivo precisar la utilización de Nutrición Parenteral en el servicio de UCI/UCIN-Neonatología del Hospital Víctor Lazarte Echegaray-Trujillo, octubre-diciembre 2017. Se usaron para el estudio las fichas de prescripción recepcionados en el servicio de USMEN, evaluándose un total de 37 formatos. Los resultados se agruparon en relación al diagnóstico y condición de peso del recién nacido, además del género y según la edad gestacional. Del análisis de los resultados se concluye que del total de neonatos que recibieron nutrición parenteral fue, el 89.1% tuvieron una edad gestacional pretérmino, de las cuales el uso de la terapia nutricional fue en prematuridad con un 21%, prematuridad más sepsis con un 18%, prematuridad extrema con 15%, entre otros.
