The information was obtained from the database of the Pharmaceutical Establishment, the variables to be studied were determined (consumption and cost), in turn data from the dispensed units was considered in addition to the number of clients obtained from the period June-December 2018; From the data obtained, the percentage distribution of antidepressant use according to sex and age group was determined, with women obtaining a greater percentage of antidepressant tablets with 54%. The main diagnosis of depression was also determined, with generalized anxiety (22%) and sertraline 50 mg (51%). The defined daily dose of the antidepressant medication of greater percentage is sertraline 50 mg (0.47%); In turn, the cost of monthly consumption of antidepressant medication with a higher percentage of sertraline 50 mg (72.22%) was measuredEl presente informe de prácticas pre-profesionales es de tipo descriptivo, transversal y retrospectivo cuyo propósito es determinar las características del consumo de antidepresivos en un Establecimiento Farmacéutico de Trujillo, Junio – Diciembre 2018, en el distrito de Trujillo. La información se obtuvo de la base de datos del Establecimiento Farmacéutico, se determina las variables a estudiar (consumo y costo), a su vez se consideró datos de las unidades dispensadas además del número de clientes obtenidos del periodo Junio –Diciembre 2018; de los datos obtenidos se determinó la distribución porcentual del consumo de antidepresivos según sexo y grupo etario obteniendo las mujeres un mayor porcentaje de consumir tabletas antidepresivos con un 54%. También se determinó el principal diagnóstico de depresión siendo la ansiedad generalizada (22%) y el medicamento más usado la sertralina 50 mg (51%).
