The results obtained show that family problems and lack of interest of parents in the education of the children are the main factors that negatively influence the desertion of these children. In this sense, we propose that they should develop awarenessprograms for parents that they can overcome their family problems toget involved directly in the process of teaching - learning of theirchildrenLa investigación ha sido descriptiva, y ha tenido como propósito fundamental analizar la “FACTORES FAMILIARES QUE INFLUYEN EN LA DESERCION ESCOLAR DE LOS ALUMNOS CON NECESIDADES EDUCATIVA ESPECIALES EN EL C.E.B.E - PACASMAYO”, DISTRITO DE PACASMAYO EN EL 2013” En el proceso de investigación se han utilizado técnicas de investigación cualitativa y cuantitativa para recolectar los datos de las informantes para comprender el papel de la familia en la deserción escolar de estos alumnos. Los resultados obtenidos nos demuestran que los problemas familiares y la falta de interés de los padres por la educación de los hijos son los principales factores que influyen negativamente en la deserción de estos niños.
