Efecto de allium sativum sobre los niveles de leucocitos, lt cd4, lt cd8 e igg, de rattus rattus con candidosis vaginal e inmunosuprimidas experimentalmente

The effect of Allium sativum "garlic" on the levels of Leukocytes, LT CD4, LT CD8 and IgG in rats was determined. 30 Rattus rattus var. albinus immunosuppressed with 0.6 mg/Kg of body weight (bw) of methylprednisolone and infected with Candida albicans and then treated with Allium sativum by oral way. The experimental groups were treated with Allium sativum as it s indicated. A1: 6,2 mg/Kg bw by day, A2: 12,4 mg/Kg bw by day, A3: 18.6 mg/Kg bw by day and control group with fluconazole 50 mg/Kg bw by day. The results were processed by variance analysis to repeated measurements. The immunosuppression caused a decrease of the leucocytes, LT CD4, LT CD8 and IgG. The treatment with Allium sativum eliminated Candida albicans and returned the concentration of leucocytes, LT CD4, LT CD8 and IgG to their basal concentration; these effects had direct relation with the used concentration. The 18,6 doses had the best effect with a highly significant difference (p< 0.001). Allium sativum has effect on vaginal candidiasis and return leucocytes, LT CD4, LT CD8 and IgG concentration to the basal levels in Rattus rattus var. albinus with vaginal candidiasis and immunosuppressed experimentally.
