Caracterización ambiental del Desembarcadero de Pesca Artesanal de Salaverry, La Libertad – 2022

Abstract

La pesca artesanal en el Perú tiene un activo importante para sus actividades, los cuales son los Desembarcaderos de Pesca Artesanal, sin embargo, la mayoría no presentan condiciones ambientales y sanitarias óptimas. El objetivo del presente estudio, fue caracterizar la gestión ambiental que se viene desarrollando en el Desembarcadero de Pesca Artesanal de Salaverry, La Libertad, durante los meses de Noviembre – Marzo del 2022 en el cual se realizó la descripción de las instalaciones, identificación de las operaciones del DPA que comprendieron las operaciones de embarque y desembarque, pesado, traslado de recursos hidrobiológicos a las instalaciones del DPA, asi como las tareas previas y las actividades que realiza la administración. Para conocer la conducta ambiental de los pescadores artesanales se aplicó una encuesta en la cual se observó que los residuos que se originan con mayor frecuencia son los residuos orgánicos. De igual forma se hizo la identificación de los impactos ambientales generados por las operaciones del DPA para ello se empleó la matriz de Leopold, observándose que los factores más afectados negativamente son la calidad de suelo con -87 y calidad de aire con -64, y los impactos positivos más potenciales fueron para el factor antrópico de restaurantes con 103. Asimismo, la operación de mantenimiento de maquinarias y equipos del DPA de Salaverry fue la actividad que más impacto negativo causo sobre lo factores ambientales con una valoración de -67 y la actividad que genera más impactos positivos en los factores ambientales es la administración con puntuación de 28. Finalmente, la evaluación del nivel de cumplimiento ambiental en base a la normativa ambiental, nos indicó que el nivel de cumplimiento es bajo cumplimiento.

Artisanal fishing in Peru has an important asset for its activities, which are the Artisanal Fishing Landings, however, most of them do not have optimal environmental and sanitary conditions. The objective of this study was to characterize the environmental management that is being developed in the Artisanal Fishing Landing Site of Salaverry, La Libertad, during the months of November - March 2022 in which the description of the facilities, identification of the operations of the DPA that included the operations of loading and unloading, weighing, transfer of hydrobiological resources to the facilities of the DPA, as well as the previous tasks and the activities carried out by the administration were carried out. To learn about the environmental behavior of artisanal fishermen, a survey was conducted and it was observed that organic waste is the most common type of waste. The environmental impacts generated by DPA operations were also identified using the Leopold matrix, which showed that the most negatively affected factors were soil quality with -87 and air quality with -64, and the most potential positive impacts were for the anthropogenic factor of restaurants with 103. Likewise, the Salaverry DPA's machinery and equipment maintenance operation was the activity that had the most negative impact on environmental factors with a score of -67, and the activity that generated the most positive impacts on environmental factors was administration with a score of 28.
