    The current research was realized for develop a proposal of Municipal Solid Waste Management Plan at Contumazá city, in Cajamarca; as a management instrument for Provincial Municipality of Contumazá, which allows generate a change from traditional Management to Integral Solid Waste Management. Because the waste disposal makes it in an open dump, don't exist recycling and material recovering, the Municipal service is inefficient, there are many point of accumulation of solid waste around the city and not applied an appropriate technology, this make the management of solid waste must be properly plan for this place. Besides previous fact, and base line about Solid Waste Management; it developed an proposal of Municipal Solid Waste Management Plan; within incorporating policies, objectives, goals, action lines, action plan and monitoring plan; including proposed options about management, environmental education, technology and technical issues of Integral Solid Waste Management based on the characteristic and scale of the city, natural conditions, climate, economic development and distribution of population at Contumazá city. Finally, the effectively manage of the local government generates many benefits in terms of reduction of environmental impacts and increasing urban good lifestyle.
