dc.descriptionThe objective of this research is to publicize the level of knowledge that Trujillo dentists have about immediate dentin sealing and acceptance in their professional practice. It is a descriptive, cross sectional study in which an asynchronous virtual survey was carried out, the sample studied was made up of 178 dental surgeons from the province of Trujillo out of a total of 1920 surgeons.It can be distinguished that of the total of dental surgeons with less work experience, 65.8% perceive a poor level of knowledge, while surgeons with more years of service are above 80% (p <0.05). Regarding the level of acceptance, the majority (51.7%) perceives that they totally agree with performing the operative technique.It can be concluded that there is a significant statistical difference between the level of knowledge of dental surgeons in the province of Trujillo about immediate dentin sealing according to the years of work experience. It can be distinguished that those surgeons with experience ≤ 5 years can report better levels, even when the values obtained on a good level of knowledge are well below the desired level.
dc.description.abstractEl objetivo de la presente investigación es dar a conocer el nivel de conocimiento que poseen los odontólogos trujillanos acerca del sellado dentinario inmediato y aceptación en su ejercicio profesional. Es un estudio de tipo descriptivo, de corte transversal en el que se realizó una encuesta tipo virtual asincrónica, la muestra estudiada estuvo constituida por 178 cirujanos dentistas de la provincia de Trujillo de un total de 1920 cirujanos. Se puede distinguir que del total de cirujanos dentistas con menor experiencia laboral el 65.8% perciben un nivel de conocimiento malo, mientras que los cirujanos con más años de servicio están por encima del 80% (p<0.05). En cuanto al nivel de aceptación la mayoría (51.7%) percibe estar totalmente de acuerdo en realizar la técnica operatoria. Se puede concluir que existe una diferencia estadística significativa entre el nivel de conocimiento de los cirujanos dentistas de la provincia de Trujillo sobre sellado dentinario inmediato según los años de experiencia laboral. Se puede distinguir que aquellos cirujanos con experiencia ≤ 5 años pueden reportar mejores niveles, aun cuando los valores obtenidos sobre un nivel de conocimiento bueno están muy por debajo del nivel deseado.
