Abstract
Objetivo: La presente investigación de tipo básico, descriptivo y de corte transversal, tuvo como propósito evaluar el nivel de conocimiento de los estudiantes de Estomatología de cuarto, quinto y sexto de la Universidad Nacional de Trujillo acerca del cáncer oral, Moche-2019.
Material y Métodos: La muestra estuvo conformada por 71 estudiantes, de los cuales 23 estudiantes corresponden al cuarto año (32.39%), 25 estudiantes corresponden al quinto año (35.21%) y 23 estudiantes a sexto año (32.39%). A quienes se le aplico un cuestionario validado en un trabajo previo.
Resultados: El nivel de conocimiento acerca del cáncer oral de los estudiantes de cuarto año fue “bueno”, de quinto año “regular” y de sexto año “regular”, lo cual determinó una relación estadística no significativa.
Conclusiones: Los estudiantes de Estomatología presentan un nivel de conocimiento sobre el cáncer oral predominantemente Regular.

Objective: The present investigation of basic, descriptive and cross-sectional type, had as purpose to evaluate the level of knowledge of the students of Stomatology of fourth, fifth and sixth of the National University of Trujillo about oral cancer, Moche-2019.
Material and Methods: The sample consisted of 71 students, of which 23 students correspond to the fourth year (32.39%), 25 students correspond to the fifth year (35.21%) and 23 students to the sixth year (32.39%). To whom a validated questionnaire was applied in a previous work.
Results: The level of knowledge about oral cancer among fourth-year students was "good", fifth year "regular" and sixth year "regular", which determined a non-significant statistical relationship.
Conclusions: Stomatology students have a predominantly
regular level of knowledge about oral cancer.
