dc.descriptionThe present research study is descriptive and cross-sectional, its objective was to determine the Level of Knowledge about the Dental Protocol due to the COVID-19 Pandemic of the Stomatology students of the National University of Trujillo in the year 2020. The population under study was made up of 98 students from the Faculty of Stomatology of the UNT of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th year, enrolled in 2020, 63 of the female gender (64. 29%) and 35 males (35.71%) who met the inclusion criteria. The measurement instrument used to evaluate the students was the questionnaire-type survey, which was previously validated by expert judgment. The result that was obtained in this research about the Level of knowledge about the Dental Protocol for Pandemic COVID-19 of the Stomatology students of the UNT, 2020, was the level of knowledge "Good" (40.8%). According to the year of studies, in the first year the level of knowledge "Good" (44.4%) predominated, in the second year the level of knowledge "Very Good" (37.5%) predominated, in the third year the level of knowledge predominated. “Good” (46.7%), in the fourth year the level of knowledge “Good” (50.0%) predominated, in the fifth year the level of knowledge “Very Good” (37.5%) predominated and the sixth year the level of knowledge predominated "Good" (44.4%). It is concluded that the level of knowledge about the Dental Protocol for the COVID-19 Pandemic of the Stomatology students of the UNT, 2020, was "Good" (40.8%). Depending on the year of studies, a trend towards a percentage increase in the level of "Outstanding" knowledge can be seen as the year of studies increases. According to gender, it is concluded that there is no statistically significant difference between the female gender and the male gender in the mean score in knowledge about Dental Protocol due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
dc.description.abstractEl presente estudio de investigación es de tipo descriptivo y de corte transversal, tuvo como objetivo determinar el Nivel de Conocimientos sobre el Protocolo Odontológico por Pandemia de COVID-19 de los alumnos de Estomatología de la Universidad Nacional de Trujillo en el año 2020. La población en estudio estuvo constituida por 98 alumnos de la Facultad de Estomatología de la UNT de 1°,2°,3°,4°,5° y 6° año, matriculados en el año 2020, 63 del género fémenino (64. 29%) y 35 del género masculino (35.71%) que cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión. El instrumento de medición que se utilizó para evaluar a los estudiantes fue la encuesta tipo cuestionario, el cual fue validado previamente por juicio de expertos. El resultado que se obtuvo en esta investigación acerca del Nivel de conocimiento sobre Protocolo Odontológico por Pandemia de COVID-19 de los alumnos de Estomatología de la UNT, 2020, fue el nivel de conocimiento “Bueno” (40.8%). Según el año de estudios, en el primer año predominó el nivel de conocimiento “Bueno” (44.4%), en el segundo año predominó el nivel de conocimiento “Muy Bueno” (37.5%), en el tercer año predominó el nivel de conocimiento “Bueno” (46.7%), en el cuarto año predominó el nivel de conocimiento “Bueno” (50.0%), en el quinto año predominó el nivel de conocimiento “Muy Bueno” (37.5%) y el sexto predominó el nivel de conocimiento “Bueno” (44.4%). Se concluye que el nivel de conocimiento sobre el Protocolo Odontológico por Pandemia de COVID-19 de los alumnos de Estomatología de la UNT, 2020, fue “Bueno” (40.8%). Según el año de estudios, se puede apreciar una tendencia al aumento porcentual en el nivel de conocimiento “Sobresaliente” a medida que aumenta el año de estudios. Según el género, se concluye que no existe una diferencia estadística significativa entre el género femenino y el género masculino en el puntaje medio en conocimiento sobre Protocolo Odontológico por la Pandemia de COVID-19.
