Nivel de conocimiento sobre salud bucal en gestantes del Hospital Regional Eleazar Guzmán Barrón de Nuevo Chimbote 2016

Abstract
Objetivo: El presente estudio de tipo observacional, descriptivo, de corte transversal; tuvo como objetivo principal determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre Salud Bucal en las gestantes que acudieron a los consultorios de Obstetricia y Odontología del Hospital Regional Eleazar Guzmán Barrón de Nuevo Chimbote, en 2016. Materiales y métodos: La muestra estuvo conformada por 101 gestantes que cumplieron los criterios de inclusión y exclusión. Para determinar el nivel de conocimiento, se elaboró un cuestionario validado de 20 preguntas, los resultados fueron presentados en tablas estadísticas de entrada simple y doble. Resultados: Los datos demostraron que el nivel de conocimiento de las gestantes sobre Salud Bucal fue regular con un 69.3%, el 15.8% bueno y el 14.9% malo. Sobre medidas preventivas, el 90.1% tuvo un nivel bueno y el 9.9% un nivel regular. Respecto al conocimiento de enfermedades bucales el 49.5% fue bueno, el 30.7% fue regular y el 19.8% fue malo. Sobre atención odontológica durante la gestación el 44.6% fue malo, el 35.6% fue regular y el 19.8% fue bueno. Sobre crecimiento y desarrollo dental, el 45.5% tuvo un nivel malo, el 34.7% fue regular y el 19.8% un nivel bueno. Conclusiones: Se encontró una relación estadísticamente significativa entre edad, número de embarazos, grado de instrucción y el nivel de conocimiento de la gestante.

The average lowest was obtained by knowledge of dental growth and development, the 45.5% had a bad level; the 34.7% was regular and the 19.8% a good level. Conclusions: A significant statistical relationship was found between age, number of pregnancies, level of education and level of knowledge of the pregnants.
