Abstract
La pobreza es un fenómeno complejo, que afecta a las familias donde hay niños en edad escolar, quienes son los más desfavorecidos, debido a la privación de los derechos como: la alimentación, educación y salud. La investigación se aplicó a 26 estudiantes, así como a sus respectivas madres de familia, ha permitido determinar como la pobreza influye en la alimentación de los niños de segundo grado de primaria D, de la Institución Educativa Francisco Lizarzaburu, El Porvenir – 2019, concluyendo que: Durante la semana el 65% de los niños consume dulces. El 58% consume una a dos veces a la semana embutidos. Durante la semana el 62% consume cereales más de cinco veces a la semana. El 8% de los niños consume leche y derivados. Durante la semana el 12% consume verduras y hortalizas. El 15% consume frutas. El 31% consume legumbres. El 15% consume carnes, pescados o huevos. La frecuencia del consumo de cada comida es de acuerdo a las elecciones alimentarias de las madres de familia y la disponibilidad económica. Es notorio, la desigualdad económica y nutricional para obtener los alimentos nutritivos y suficientes, siendo una gran desventaja en estudiantes en edad escolar. El 85% de las entrevistadas manifiestan que los bajos ingresos económicos es uno de las principales razones que no le permite preparar una eficiente alimentación para sus hijos. Se ha tomado como criterio de prioridad la inestabilidad laboral; las madres de familia indicaron el bajo salario que perciben sus cónyuges, adaptándose a cualquier tipo de trabajo, como: ayudante de construcción, perfilador, mecánico y agricultor, de hecho, no es un trabajo permanente; sino que tratan de emplearse con el trabajo poco remunerado.

The frequency of consumption of each meal is according to the food choices of the mothers of the family and the economic availability. It is notorious, the economic and nutritional inequality to obtain nutritious and sufficient food, being a great disadvantage in students of school age. 85% of the interviewees state that low income is one of the main reasons that does not allow them to prepare an efficient diet for their children. Job instability has been taken as a priority criterion; The mothers of families indicated the low salary that their spouses receive, adapting to any type of work, such as: construction assistant, profiler, mechanic and farmer, in fact, it is not a permanent job; rather they try to be employed with the low paid work.
