Abstract
Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de estrés en los estudiantes de Estomatología de la Universidad Nacional de Trujillo - 2015. Material y Métodos: El estudio de tipo descriptivo y transversal , se desarrolló sobre una muestra de 65 estudiantes de los 3 últimos años de la carrera. Para establecer los niveles de estrés se les aplicó la encuesta Dental Environment Stress modificado, en base a 30 enunciados valorados en la escala de Likert. Resultados: Se encontró que el 66.2% de los estudiantes presentaron un nivel algo estresante; los estudiantes de quinto año presentaron mayor nivel de estrés (57.1% algo estresante y 42.9% bastante estresante). Se encontró asociación significativa entre el género y año de estudio con algunos factores estresantes. Los factores que generaron mayor estrés fueron la Impuntualidad de los pacientes y faltas a sus citas y el miedo a reprobar un curso o año. Conclusiones: Los estudiantes de Estomatología presentaron un nivel de estrés algo estresante.

There was a significant association between gender and year of study with some stressors. The factors that generated the most stress were the patients' tardiness and missed appointments and the fear of failing a course or year. Conclusions: Stomatology students presented a somewhat stressful stress level.
