Abstract
El presente trabajo de investigación tuvo como propósito determinar la prevalencia de erosión dental en los consumidores de cebiche del Distrito de Huanchaco, Provincia de Trujillo en el año 2017.
Se realizó un estudio descriptivo-observacional. La muestra estuvo conformada por 50 pacientes de ambos géneros de 20 a 59 años de edad que fueron atendidos en el servicio de odontología del Centro de Salud Huanchaco, durante los meses de febrero, marzo y abril del presente año y que refirieron una frecuencia de consumo de cebiche de 1 a más veces por semana. Para la evaluación clínica se aplicó el índice de erosión dental de Lussi, para determinar la presencia o ausencia de erosión dental.
Se determinó que la prevalencia de erosión dental en los consumidores de cebiche fue del 94%, la erosión tuvo una mayor presencia en los pacientes cuyo consumo es de 2 a más veces por semana.
The purpose of this research was to determine the prevalence of dental erosion in consumers of Ceviche of the Huanchaco District, Trujillo Province in 2017.
