dc.descriptionThe present study has chosen to determine the fatigue limit through the ultimate _x000D_ tensile strength. Because the great disadvantage of carrying out the fatigue test on SAE 1080 _x000D_ steel is the high demand for time and therefore the high cost that is demanded when carrying _x000D_ out said test._x000D_ In the investigation, the mechanical properties of the smooth SAE 1080 steel bar _x000D_ were studied and characterized in the SIDERPERU laboratories; The objective was to _x000D_ determine the fatigue limit of SAE 1080 steel and predict the S-N curve, using the ultimate _x000D_ tensile strength whose value was 997 MPa. For this study, the fatigue limit value of 498.5 _x000D_ MPa was obtained_x000D_ Additionally, its mechanical characteristics such as surface hardness were _x000D_ determined. 295.6HB Average, 621Mpa Yield Strength, 5% Elongation – Properties_x000D_ metallurgical as microstructures (fine Perlite with 611 Hv microhardness and Cementite with _x000D_ 879Hv microhardness), grain size of 4.5 and 5; ultrasound and analysis of the chemical _x000D_ composition that gives us 0.88%C and 0.88%Mn which allows us to know in detail the _x000D_ characteristics of SAE 1080 steel manufactured by SIDERPERU._x000D_ These tests were carried out in the Physical Testing Laboratory of SIDERPERU. _x000D_ The test material is high carbon steel (SAE-1080) manufactured by the SIDERPERU _x000D_ Company in the form of bars, to be used in the grinding process of minerals from different _x000D_ mines in Perues_PE
dc.description.abstractEl presente estudio se ha optado en determinar el límite de fatiga mediante la_x000D_ resistencia ultima de tracción. Debido a la gran desventaja de realizar el ensayo de fatiga en _x000D_ el acero SAE 1080 que demanda mucho tiempo y por consiguiente el alto costo que _x000D_ demanda al realizar dicho ensayo._x000D_ En la investigación se estudió y caracterizo las propiedades mecánicas de la barra_x000D_ lisa de acero SAE 1080 en los laboratorios de SIDERPERÚ; el objetivo fue determinar el _x000D_ límite de fatiga del acero SAE 1080 y predecir la curva S-N, utilizando la resistencia última _x000D_ de tracción cuyo valor fue de 997 MPa. Para este estudio se obtuvo el valor de límite de _x000D_ fatiga de 498.5 MPa._x000D_ Adicionalmente se determinó sus características mecánicas como dureza superficial_x000D_ promedio de 295.6 HB, límite de fluencia de 621Mpa, alargamiento de 5%: propiedades_x000D_ metalúrgicas como microestructuras (Perlita fina con 611Hv microdureza y Cementita con _x000D_ 879Hv microdureza), tamaño de grano de 4.5 y 5; ultrasonido y análisis de la composición _x000D_ química que nos da un 0.88%C y 0.88%Mn el cual nos permite conocer a detalle las _x000D_ características de acero SAE 1080 fabricado por SIDERPERU._x000D_ Estos ensayos se realizaron en el Laboratorio de Ensayos Físicos de SIDERPERU. _x000D_ El material de ensayo es acero de alto carbono (SAE-1080) fabricado por la Empresa _x000D_ SIDERPERU en forma de barras, para ser usadas en el proceso de molienda de minerales de diferentes minas de Perúes_PE
