dc.description.abstractDesde el fin de la pandemia hasta el presente, se ha observado muchos casos de estrés entre los estudiantes universitarios, directamente vinculado al síndrome de Burnout. Este trabajo es un estudio de tipo básico, descriptivo y de corte transversal. El objetivo fue determinar la prevalencia del Síndrome de Burnout en los alumnos de Estomatología de la Universidad Nacional de Trujillo 2023. La muestra estuvo conformada por un total de 120 estudiantes de la Facultad de Estomatología de la Universidad Nacional de Trujillo, se aplicó el cuestionario Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) de 22 preguntas distribuidas en 3 dimensiones: agotamiento emocional, despersonalización y realización personal, cuya escala de medición fue de tipo Likert. La prevalencia del Síndrome de Burnout fue 20.8% en los estudiantes de la Facultad de Estomatología de la UNT 2023. Al analizar la prevalencia según la edad se observó que entre los 18 a 22 años fue de 22.4% mientras que entre los 23 a 33 años fue de 19.4%. En relación a la prevalencia según el género femenino y masculino, fue de 27.3 % y 18.4% respectivamente. Respecto a la prevalencia según el año de estudios se encontró mayor porcentaje en el tercer y cuarto año con 25.5%, 23.1 % en primer y segundo año y 10 % en quinto y sexto año. Se concluye que la prevalencia del Síndrome de Burnout en estudiantes fue de un 20,8%.
dc.description.abstractSince the end of the pandemic until the present, many cases of stress have been observed among university students, directly linked to Burnout syndrome. This work is a basic, descriptive and cross-sectional study. The objective was to determine the prevalence of Burnout Syndrome in Stomatology students at the National University of Trujillo 2023. The sample was made up of a total of 120 students from the Faculty of Stomatology of the National University of Trujillo, the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) questionnaire of 22 questions distributed in 3 dimensions was applied: emotional exhaustion, depersonalization and personal fulfillment, whose scale measurement was Likert type. The prevalence of Burnout Syndrome was 20.8% in the students of the Faculty of Dentistry of the UNT 2023. When analyzing the prevalence according to age, it was observed that between 18 to 22 years old it was 22.4% while between 23 to 33 years old was 19.4%. In relation to the prevalence according to female and male gender, it was 27.3% and 18.4% respectively. Regarding the prevalence according to the year of study, a higher percentage was found in the third and fourth year with 25.5%, 23.1% in the first and second year and 10% in the fifth and sixth year. It is concluded that the prevalence of Burnout Syndrome in students was 20.8%.
