dc.description.abstractTITLE: "Prevalence of black extrinsic pigmentations in children with deciduous dentition of the Initial Educational Institution 253- La Noria, Trujillo 2018" OBJECTIVE: To determine the prevalence of black extrinsic pigmentations in children with deciduous dentition enrolled in the Initial Educational Institution 253- La Noria, Trujillo 2018. METHODOLOGY: Descriptive, cross-sectional and observational study. MATERIAL AND METHOD: The population under study consisted of 157 children, 85 female and 72 male, aged between 3 and 5 years, who met the selection criteria. To determine the prevalence of black extrinsic pigmentations in deciduous teeth, the Gasparetto Classification was used, and for the analysis of the information, one and double entry tables were constructed, with their absolute and relative values as well as graphs. RESULTS: The data obtained at the end of the study showed that the prevalence of black extrinsic pigmentations in children with deciduous dentition of the Initial Educational Institution 253- La Noria, Trujillo 2018 is 12.1%. CONCLUSIONS: A low prevalence of black extrinsic pigmentations was found in children with deciduous dentition, not establishing a statistically significant difference according to gender and age group. dc.description.abstractTITULO: “Prevalencia de pigmentaciones extrínsecas negras en niños con dentición decidua de la Institución Educativa Inicial 253- La Noria, Trujillo 2018” OBJETIVO: Determinar la prevalencia de pigmentaciones extrínsecas negras en niños con dentición decidua matriculados en la Institución Educativa Inicial 253- La Noria, Trujillo 2018. METODOLOGÍA: Estudio tipo descriptiv0, transversal y observacional. MATERIAL Y MÉTODO: La población bajo estudio estuvo conformada por 157 niños, 85 del género femenino y 72 del género masculino, con edades comprendidas entre los 3 hasta los 5 años, que cumplieron con los criterios de selección. Para determinar la prevalencia de pigmentaciones extrínsecas negras en dientes deciduos se utilizó la Clasificación de Gasparetto, y para el análisis de la información se construyeron tablas de una y doble entrada, con sus valores absolutos y relativos además de gráficos. RESULTADOS: Los datos obtenidos al finalizar el estudio mostraron que la prevalencia de pigmentaciones extrínsecas negras en niños con dentición decidua de la Institución Educativa Inicial 253- La Noria, Trujillo 2018 es de 12.1%. CONCLUSIONES: Se encontró una baja prevalencia de pigmentaciones extrínsecas negras en niños con dentición decidua, no estableciéndose una diferencia estadísticamente significativa según género y grupo etario. En cuanto a severidad se determinó que la tipo 3 de Gasparetto es la más prevalente.es_PE
