dc.description.abstractInvestigación de tipo descriptivo correlacional de corte transversal, se realizó I.E.80819 “Francisco Lizarzaburu”, Distrito El Porvenir- Provincia de Trujillo- Departamento de la Libertad; con la finalidad de determinar la relación entre la prevalencia de la pérdida del primer molar permanente y el índice de O´Leary. La muestra estuvo constituida por 145 adolescentes. Concluyendo que: El cuadrante inferior derecho tiene un mayor porcentaje de pérdida del primer molar permanente con 7,6 por ciento, y el cuadrante superior izquierdo con un porcentaje menor 4,8 por ciento. En cuanto al género, en el sexo masculino la pérdida del primer molar permanente fue 3.6%(21 piezas dentales) y el género femenino con 2.6%(15 piezas dentales). Según el Índice de O´Leary se evidencia que del total de los 145 alumnos evaluados en 87, 6 por ciento presenta un estado de higiene bucal deficiente y el 5,5 por ciento adecuado. En el índice de O´Leary según género se evidenció que en el género femenino el 89,7 por ciento, presenten un estado de higiene bucal deficiente, y el 1,5 por ciento adecuado. En el género masculino el 85,8 por ciento un estado de higiene bucal deficiente; y el 5,1 aceptable. Según la prueba estadística Chi cuadrado se encontró que existe relación significativa entre la perdida de primeras molares permanentes y el índice de higiene oral O´Leary.es_PE
dc.description.abstractcorrelational descriptive of cross-cutting research, was conducted I.E.80819 "Francisco Lizarzaburu", the future - province district of Trujillo – la Libertad; in order to determine the relationship between the prevalence of the first permanent molar loss and O´Leary index. The sample consisted of 145 adolescents. Concluding that: the right lower quadrant has a greater percentage of loss of the first permanent molar with 7.6 percent, and the left upper quadrant with a percentage less 4.8 per cent. In terms of gender, in males the first permanent molar loss was 3.6% (21 teeth) and the female gender with 2.6% (15 teeth). According to the index of O´Leary evidence that the total of evaluated 145 students in 87, 6 percent presents a deficient oral hygiene status and 5.5 percent right. The rate of O´Leary according to gender showed that 89.7 percent women, submit a State of poor oral hygiene, and 1.5 percent right. In the male gender the 85.8 per cent a deficient oral hygiene status; and the acceptable 5.1. According to the statistical test Chi square was found that there is a significant relationship between the loss of permanent molars first and the rate of oral hygiene O´Leary.es_PE
