dc.description.abstractThe objective of this observational, descriptive and cross-sectional study was to determine the level of knowledge about biosafety regarding the emission of dental aerosols during dental practice in students from the third to the sixth year of the Faculty of Stomatology, 2022. The sample consisted of a total of 89 students from the Faculty of Dentistry of the UNT in the third, fourth, fifth and sixth year regularly enrolled in the period 2022 where 65 belong to the female gender (73.03%) and 24 belong to the male gender ( 26.97%); of which 22 students correspond to the third year (24.72%), 28 students correspond to the fourth year (31.46%), 13 students correspond to the fifth year (14.61%) and 26 students correspond to the sixth year (29.21%); to whom a respective questionnaire of 18 questions was applied, validated by expert judgment. The results showed that the level of knowledge about biosafety before the emission of dental aerosols in students of Dentistry, 2022 from the third to the sixth year was 36.0% with the "Good" level, 62.9% with the "Regular" level and 1.1% with the "bad" level. It was concluded that the level of knowledge about biosafety before the emission of dental aerosols in Dentistry students, 2022 was predominantly "Regular" (62.9%).
dc.description.abstractEl presente trabajo de tipo observacional, descriptivo y de corte transversal tuvo como objetivo determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre bioseguridad ante la emisión de aerosoles dentales durante la práctica odontológica en estudiantes del tercer al sexto año de la Facultad de Estomatología, 2022. La muestra estuvo constituida por un total de 89 estudiantes de la Facultad de Estomatología de la UNT de tercero, cuarto, quinto y sexto año matriculados regularmente en el periodo 2022 donde 65 pertenecen al género femenino (73.03%) y 24 pertenecen al género masculino (26.97%); de los cuales 22 estudiantes corresponden al tercer año (24.72%), 28 estudiantes corresponden al cuarto año (31.46%), 13 estudiantes corresponden al quinto año (14.61%) y 26 estudiantes corresponden al sexto año (29.21%); a quienes se les aplicó un respectivo cuestionario de 18 preguntas, validado por juicio de expertos. Los resultados mostraron que el nivel de conocimientos sobre bioseguridad ante la emisión de aerosoles dentales en estudiantes de Estomatología, 2022 del tercer al sexto año fue de 36.0% con el nivel “Bueno”, 62.9% con el nivel “Regular” y 1.1% con el nivel “Malo”. Se concluyó que el nivel de conocimientos sobre bioseguridad ante la emisión de aerosoles dentales en estudiantes de Estomatología, 2022 fue predominantemente “Regular” (62.9%).es_PE
