Abstract
ABSTRACT The present work was developed with the objective of isolating and characterizing diazotrophic endophytic bacteria in the cultivation of Persea americana Mill, on the north coast of Peru. The samples were divided into roots, leaves, stems and fruits; superficially disinfected and cultured in nitrogen-free media (Lipman, Glucose, Ivo -Pernambuco (LGI-P), Johann, New, Fabio (JNFb) and JMV). Based on its macroscopic morphology, 89 isolates were selected, which were subjected to physiological tests of agronomic interest, selecting 19 bacterial cultures with the best physiological profile. Of these, 14 cultures solubilized P with indices of 1.15 to 3.23, 2 cultures solubilized Zn with indexes of 1.63 to 1.87 in the National Botanical Research Institute's (NBRIP) medium modified with 0.12% ZnO and the 19 cultures synthesized AIA obtaining values of 1, 46 to 77.12 μg.ml-1 from 500 μg.ml-1 of tryptophan. The bacteria associated with the Persea americana Mill culture on the northern coast of Peru were Bacillus subtilis, Bacillus sp., Enterobacter cloacae, Pantoea dispersa, Pantoea sp., Serratia sp., Klebsiella pneumoniae.
