Abstract

It was based on a simple random technique that served to define the experimental group and control group mentioned above. Likewise, in order to carry out this research, data collection instruments were used to compare a pre test and post-test whose results were analyzed with the help of information processing techniques to show, the situation before applying the method, the individual progress of students and the achievement of learning through the application of the method. In addition, 5 mini-sessions were applied, consisting of small classes given to the experimental group using popular songs, and to the control group using the conventional method, where in each evaluated class the improvement of the pronunciation of English in the experimental group could be seen. According to the results found in this research, it can be said that there is a correlation between the pronunciation of English and popular songs, which shows that students get a significant improvement in their performance. And for future researches, the number of mini-sessions in both groups should be increased, as well as the duration of them for better results, as well as to use other teaching resources that support the improvement of pronunciation in English as small dialogues with vocabulary according to the level.
