Abstract
Llegando a
The objective of this research is to improve the productivity of logistics processes in the Alhedu automotive workshop. This company, which has been in the market for 3 years, has opportunities for improvement related to logistics processes, since its processes are not standardized, its materials are not categorized and it does not have good stock control because it uses a poor tool to record its income and outputs; therefore, it cannot serve all its customers on time, incurring losses of money and time that directly affect the productivity of its processes. This applied research with a pre-experimental design has as a hypothesis that the implementation of warehouse management tools will improve the productivity of logistics processes, which was proven with the deductive research method where the productivity of logistics processes was measured two months before and two months after implementation, evaluating the impact of the new warehouse management, using data collection techniques such as sample data, observation and documentary review. A diagnosis of the initial situation and measurement of productivity was made to then define the main problems, this was achieved using the Ishikawa diagram, prioritization matrix and Pareto diagram, with this information the following warehouse management tools were implemented: Process standardization, managing to document their processes, as well as formats, indicators and manuals, etc.; The ABC method, obtaining the materials characterized and identified by their rotation and sales value (Type A, B and C); and an Inventory control tool, so the company stopped controlling its income and outputs manually and incurred less product losses. Likewise, the installation of inventory control software was proposed, which was chosen with the prioritization matrix; manuals and formats were proposed for the implementation of the 5S methodology and a new Layout design to reduce the path between processes. Concluding that the implementation of warehouse management tools improves productivity in the Alhedu automotive workshop by 27.70% on average with 0.05 significance, starting from an initial productivity of 51.02% to a productivity of 78.72% after implementation, from which it was concluded that there is a significant difference in productivity before and after implementation.
