Conocimientos y prácticas sobre lactancia materna exclusiva en madres de recién nacidos prematuros tardíos

Abstract
La presente investigación de tipo descriptivo, correlacional, de corte transversal, se realizó con las madres de los recién nacidos prematuros tardíos de la unidad de cuidados intensivos neonatales del hospital Regional Eleazar Guzmán Barrón, durante los meses de octubre del 2021 a enero del 2022, con la finalidad de determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimientos y nivel de práctica sobre lactancia materna exclusiva. La muestra estuvo conformada por 60 madres, a las cuales se les aplicó el cuestionario de nivel de conocimiento y la ficha de observación de prácticas sobre lactancia materna exclusiva. El procesamiento de los resultados se desarrolló con SPSS versión 25, presentados en tablas bidimensionales, para la interpretación de datos se usó la prueba estadística Tau C de Kendall. Se encontraron los siguientes resultados el 48.3 % de las madres tuvieron un nivel alto de conocimiento, el 40.3% regular y el 11.4% nivel bajo, respecto a las prácticas de lactancia materna el 56.7% tuvieron practicas adecuadas, y el 43.3 % tuvieron prácticas inadecuadas. Finalmente se concluye, que no se evidencia relación significativa entre el nivel de conocimiento y el nivel de práctica (p-valor =0.227>0.05)
The present descriptive, correlational, cross-sectional research was carried out with the mothers of late premature newborns from the neonatal intensive care unit of the Eleazar Guzmán Barrón Regional Hospital, during the months of October 2021 to January 2022. with the purpose of determining the relationship between the level of knowledge and level of practice on exclusive breastfeeding. The sample was made up of 60 mothers, to whom the knowledge level questionnaire and the practice observation sheet on exclusive breastfeeding were applied. The processing of the results was developed with SPSS version 25, presented in two-dimensional tables. Kendall's Tau C statistical test was used to interpret the data. The following results were found: 48.3% of the mothers had a high level of knowledge, 40.3% had a regular level and 11.4% had a low level, regarding breastfeeding practices, 56.7% had adequate practices, and 43.3% had inadequate practices. Finally, it is concluded that no significant relationship is evident between the level of knowledge and the level of practice (p-value =0.227>0.05)
