dc.descriptionThis thesis deals with the development of a probabilistic expert system for the_x000D_ diagnosis of Acute Respiratory Infections, which will be used in the area of medicine_x000D_ of the Provincial Hospital of Bolívar and will serve as a support tool to the_x000D_ doctor and/or nursing technician to take an accurate decision, allowing for this to_x000D_ make an opportune diagnosis of the patient’s illness._x000D_ In addition, the knowledge acquisition process for the probabilistic expert system_x000D_ is specified, modeled through its three levels of the CommonKADS methodology_x000D_ and integrating the Bayes theorem for the probabilistic calculation._x000D_ Where was obtained as a result after making the corresponding tests that the expert_x000D_ system has an accuracy index of 85 %; what is considered a satisfactory result, as_x000D_ well as the response time was reduced to an interval of 4 to 7 minutes per queryes_PE
dc.description.abstractLa presente tesis trata sobre el desarrollo de un sistema experto probabilístico_x000D_ para el diagnóstico de Infecciones Respiratorias Agudas, el cual será utilizado en el_x000D_ área de medicina del Hospital Provincial de Bolívar y servirá como herramienta de_x000D_ apoyo al médico y/o técnico de enfermería para tomar una decisión acertada, permitiendo_x000D_ para ello realizar un diagnóstico oportuno de la enfermedad del paciente._x000D_ Además se especifica el proceso de adquisición del conocimiento para el sistema_x000D_ experto probabilístico, modelado a través de sus tres niveles de la metodología_x000D_ CommonKADS e integrando el teorema de Bayes para el cálculo probabilístico._x000D_ Donde se obtuvo como resultado luego de hacer las pruebas correspondientes que_x000D_ el sistema experto presenta un indice de precisión de 85% ; lo que se considera_x000D_ un resultado satisfactorio, así como también se redujo el tiempo de respuesta a un_x000D_ intervalo de 4 a 7 minutos por consultaes_PE
