Comunicación terapéutica del personal de enfermería y nivel de ansiedad en el cuidador del paciente quirúrgico en un hospital público

| dc.description.abstract | La presente investigación de tipo cuantitativo, descriptivo correlacional, se realizó con el objetivo de determinar la asociación entre la comunicación terapéutica del personal de enfermería y nivel de ansiedad del cuidador del paciente quirúrgico en el Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo. La muestra estuvo constituida por 112 cuidadores tomada de una población aproximada de 445 cuidadores de pacientes intervenidos quirúrgicamente siendo este el promedio del mes de diciembre del año 2023 a quienes se les aplicó dos cuestionarios validados, uno para medir el nivel de incertidumbre (PPUS-FM) y otro para medir la comunicación del personal de enfermería - cuidador. El análisis estadístico se hizo mediante el software SPSS, utilizando la prueba de Chi cuadrado y el coeficiente de correlación de Kendall para determinar la relación entre las variables. Como hipótesis se planteó que existe relación significativa entre la comunicación terapéutica del personal de enfermería y el nivel de ansiedad del cuidador del paciente atendido quirúrgicamente en el Hospital Regional Docente de Trujillo. Los resultados indican que la comunicación entre el personal de enfermería y el cuidador familiar se clasificó como buena en un 4.46%, de manera regular en un 28.57%, y como deficiente en un 66.96%. Respecto al nivel de ansiedad del cuidador, se observó que ninguno presentó niveles bajos, un 56.25% niveles intermedios y un 43.75% niveles altos. El análisis estadístico reveló una asociación poco significativa entre las variables, concluyendo que existe una relación negativa baja entre el nivel de ansiedad y la calidad de la comunicación terapéutica del personal de enfermería con el cuidador familiar. Se sugiere continuar implementando estrategias destinadas a mejorar la comunicación del personal de enfermería con el cuidador, con el objetivo de reducir aún más el nivel de ansiedad | |
| dc.description.abstract | The present quantitative, descriptive correlational research was carried out with the objective of determining the association between the therapeutic communication of the nursing staff and the level of anxiety of the caregiver of the surgical patient in the Regional Teaching Hospital of Trujillo. The sample consisted of 112 caregivers taken from a population of approximately 445 caregivers of patients who underwent surgery, this being the average for the month of December 2023, to whom two validated questionnaires were applied, one to measure the level of uncertainty (PPUS-FM) and the other to measure the communication between the nursing staff and the caregiver. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS software, using the Chi-square test and Kendall's correlation coefficient to determine the relationship between the variables. It was hypothesized that there is a significant relationship between the therapeutic communication of the nursing staff and the level of anxiety of the caregiver of the patient treated surgically at the Regional Teaching Hospital of Trujillo. The results indicate that communication between the nursing staff and the family caregiver was classified as good in 4.46%, fair in 28.57%, and poor in 66.96%. Regarding the caregiver's level of anxiety, it was observed that none presented low levels, 56.25% intermediate levels and 43.75% high levels. The statistical analysis revealed a non-significant association between the variables, concluding that there is a low negative relationship between the level of anxiety and the quality of therapeutic communication between the nursing staff and the family caregiver.
