Abstract
The present denominated knowledge and compliance with biosafety standards in nurses in the Trujillo public hospital. cross-sectional descriptive correlational research was carried out with the purpose of determining the relationship between level of knowledge and compliance with biosafety standards and percutaneous accidents in nurses of the emergency service of the "Victor Lazarte Echegaray" Hospital, Trujillo, working with 36 nurses to whom two questionnaires were applied, one on level of knowledge and the other on compliance with biosafety standards, to establish the relationship between the variables, the Pearson correlation statistical test was applied. The following conclusions were reached: 77.8% of the nurses had a good level of knowledge, 22.2% were average, 83.3% were efficient in terms of compliance with biosafety standards, 11.1% were deficient, 5.6% were very efficient, and the R coefficient value of 0.578 and a sig=0.000 lower than 0.05 were identical. Therefore, the relationship between the level of biosafety knowledge and compliance with biosafety standards is established
