dc.descriptionThe present investigation quantitative, descriptive, correlational and cross-sectional, it was carried out in an educational institution of the district of Huamachuco - province of Sánchez Carrión, in the year 2018; in order to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge about human immunodeficiency virus/acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (HIV/AIDS) and sexual practices in adolescents. The sample consisted of 101 adolescents. The questionnaires were used to collect data: Level of knowledge about HIV / AIDS and sexual practices. The results are presented in tables of single and double entry, the information was processed and analyzed by the statistical test "Chi-square". The results indicated that: the level of knowledge about HIV/AIDS is average at 53,5 percent, high at 31,6 percent and low at 14,9 percent; sexual practices are inadequate at 67,1 percent and adequate at 32,9 percent. No significant relationship was detected between the level of knowledge about HIV/AIDS and sexual practices.es_PE
dc.description.abstractLa presente investigación cuantitativa, descriptiva, correlacional y de corte transversal, se realizó en una institución educativa del distrito de Huamachuco - provincia de Sánchez Carrión, en el año 2018; con la finalidad de determinar la relación existente entre el nivel de conocimiento sobre virus de la inmunodeficiencia humana/síndrome de inmunodeficiencia adquirida (VIH/SIDA) y las prácticas sexuales en adolescentes. La muestra estuvo constituida por 101 adolescentes. Para la recolección de datos se utilizaron los cuestionarios: Nivel de conocimiento sobre VIH/SIDA y prácticas sexuales. Los resultados son presentados en tablas de simple y doble entrada, la información fue procesada y analizada mediante la prueba estadística “Chi-cuadrado”. Los resultados indicaron que: el nivel de conocimiento sobre VIH/SIDA es medio en un 53,5 por ciento, alto en un 31,6 por ciento y bajo en un 14,9 por ciento; las prácticas sexuales son inadecuadas en un 67,1 por ciento y adecuadas en un 32,9 por ciento. No se detectó relación significativa entre el nivel de conocimiento sobre VIH/SIDA y las prácticas sexuales.es_PE
