Abstract
La presente investigación de tipo cuantitativo, descriptivo correlacional de corte transversal, tuvo como objetivo determinar la relación que existe entre nivel de conocimiento y percepción de riesgo de infecciones de transmisión sexual en los adolescentes de la Institución Educativa Florencia de Mora de Sandoval, Huamachuco. La muestra estuvo conformada por 88 adolescentes entre 16 y 17 años de edad, teniendo en cuenta los criterios de inclusión; a quienes se aplicó dos instrumentos: El cuestionario sobre el Nivel de conocimientos sobre Infecciones de transmisión sexual; y la escala de Valoración del grado de percepción de riesgo de Infecciones de transmisión sexual. Para el procesamiento de los datos se utilizó IBM SPSS STATISTICS versión 26; para relacionar ambas variables se utilizó el estadístico correlación de Pearson, por otro lado, los resultados son presentados en tablas simples y dobles teniendo en cuenta los criterios éticos. Se llegó a las siguientes conclusiones: El nivel de conocimiento sobre Infecciones de transmisión sexual es medio en un 55.7%, alto en un 33% y bajo en un 11.4%; la percepción de riesgo de ITS es favorable en un 39.8% y desfavorable en un 60.2%. Por lo tanto, existe relación estadística significativa entre ambas variables (p=0.001)
The objective of this quantitative, descriptive, correlational, cross-sectional investigation was to determine the relationship that exists between level of knowledge and risk perception of sexually transmitted infections in adolescents at the Florencia de Mora Educational Institution in Sandoval, Huamachuco. The sample was made up of 88 adolescents between 16 and 17 years of age, taking into account the inclusion criteria; to whom two instruments were applied: The questionnaire on the Level of Knowledge about Sexually Transmitted Infections; and the scale for assessing the degree of risk perception of sexually transmitted infections. IBM SPSS STATISTICS version 26 was used to process the data; To relate both variables, the Pearson correlation statistic was used; on the other hand, the results are presented in single and double tables taking into account the ethical criteria. The following conclusions were reached: The level of knowledge about sexually transmitted infections is medium at 55.7%, high at 33% and low at 11.4%; STI risk perception is favorable in 39.8% and unfavorable in 60.2%. Therefore, there is a significant statistical relationship between both variables (p=0.001)
