Abstract
La presente investigación tuvo por objetivo “determinar la relación entre las prácticas de manejo de residuos sólidos domiciliarios del cuidador y la incidencia de enfermedades diarreicas agudas en niños y niñas menores de 3 años beneficiarios del Programa Cuna Más - Alto Trujillo, 2023”. La metodología fue cuantitativa, de diseño descriptivo – correlacional. La muestra estuvo conformada por 70 cuidadores. Como instrumentos, se aplicó el cuestionario sobre “Prácticas de manejo de residuos sólidos domiciliarios del cuidador de niños y niñas menores de 3 años” y el cuestionario de “Incidencia de enfermedades diarreicas agudas en niños y niñas menores de 3 años”. Los resultados mostraron que el nivel de práctica de manejo de residuos sólidos domiciliarios, el 74.3% (52 cuidadores) en la categoría adecuadas, seguido de 21.4% (15 cuidadores) en la categoría regularmente adecuadas, y 4.3% (3 cuidadores) en la categoría no adecuadas. Respecto a la incidencia de enfermedades diarreicas en niños y niñas el 75.7% no presenta un episodio nuevo de diarrea, y 24.3% si presenta un episodio nuevo de diarrea. Asimismo, se concluye mediante la prueba estadística Rho de Spearman que existe relación entre las prácticas de manejo de residuos sólidos domiciliarios del cuidador y la incidencia de enfermedades diarreicas agudas en niños y niñas menores de 3 años beneficiarios del Programa Cuna Más - Alto Trujillo 2023; y esta es de intensidad alta (Rho =0.867, p=0.000, alfa =0.05).
The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between the caregiver's household solid waste management practices and the incidence of acute diarrheal diseases in boys and girls under 3 years of age who are beneficiaries of the Cuna Más Program - Alto Trujillo, 2023.
