Nivel de anemia y parasitosis en niños menores de 3 años, atendidos en el hospital distrital de Laredo, La Libertad 2018 – 2023

| dc.description.abstract | La anemia y la parasitosis intestinal, son enfermedades frecuentes en países en vías de desarrollo como el nuestro, la población infantil es la más vulnerable a este tipo de enfermedades. El presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo determinar el nivel de anemia y de parasitosis en niños menores de 3 años atendidos en el Hospital Distrital de Laredo, La Libertad en el periodo 2018 a 2023. El estudio fue cuantitativo, descriptivo, de tipo transversal y retrospectivo. Se recabó de la base de datos de los exámenes del laboratorio (hemoglobina y parasitosis) del hospital información asociada a las variables nivel de anemia y parasitosis. Los datos fueron procesados en Microsoft Excel, se construyeron tablas y figuras, así mismo, se realizó el test de asociación por Chi cuadrado. Los resultados obtenidos precisaron que, para el año 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 y 2023 se obtuvo 77%, 78%, 69%, 76%, 77% y 74% casos positivos de anemia, así como, 19%, 20%, 15%, 15%, 14% y 11% casos positivos de parasitosis respectivamente. Se concluyó que, el mayor porcentaje de niños menores de 3 años atendidos en el Hospital Distrital de Laredo, La Libertad en el año 2018 – 2023 presentaron anemia, finalmente el test de asociación definió que no existió asociación significativa entre el nivel de anemia y el nivel de parasitismo. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Anemia and intestinal parasitosis are common diseases in developing countries like ours, the child population is the most vulnerable to this type of diseases. The objective of this work was to determine the level of anemia and parasitosis in children under 3 years of age treated at the Laredo District Hospital, La Libertad in the period 2018 to 2023. The study was quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional and retrospective. Information associated with the variables level of anemia and parasitosis was collected from the hospital's laboratory examination database (hemoglobin and parasitosis). The data were processed in Microsoft Excel, tables and figures were constructed, and the Chi square test of association was performed. The results obtained specified that, for the year 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023, 77%, 78%, 69%, 76%, 77% and 74% positive cases of anemia were obtained, as well as 19%, 20%, 15%, 15%, 14% and 11% positive cases of parasitosis respectively. It was concluded that the highest percentage of children under 3 years old treated at the Laredo District Hospital, La Libertad in the year 2018 - 2023 presented anemia, finally the association test defined that there was no significant association between the level of anemia and the level of parasitism. | |
