Abstract
The general objective of this research was to detect Salmonella Enteritidis and Salmonella Infantis to enable their fast and specific identification in human-origin isolates sent to the National Institute of Health in Lima, Peru. For this purpose, a conventional multiplex PCR method with electrophoresis was used, successfully identifying two of the main serovars of interest in cases of non-typhoidal sizes of 244 bp, 316 bp, and 727 bp, respectively
