Abstract
The objective of this work is to study the radiological and clinical characteristics of patients with SARS - CoV - 2 pneumonia, with the purpose of determining the relationship between the radiological severity of lung involvement, with the clinical severity of 82 people hospitalized in the service. of the Trujillo Regional Teaching Hospital, from June to November 2020, through a descriptive, cross-sectional, retrospective and correlational study, in which observation sheets will be used, considering that the clinical histories of patients considered the object of the study will be seen. The study will allow the application of the RALE Score, which is important because it identifies the lung involvement of patients affected by SARS-CoV-2 using chest x-ray. Using the RALE we assess the density and progression of lung damage following the procedures used by Warren et al and Wong et al, to determine the radiological severity as mild, moderate and severe of the patient with SARS-CoV-2 pneumonia. The chest x-ray makes it possible to correlate the radiological severity with the clinical manifestations of patients due to SARS-CoV-2, considering that the clinical severity manifests itself as affections from mild to patients with low oxygen in the blood that can lead to syndrome. of acute respiratory distress, complicated by cardiovascular and chronic respiratory diseases, arterial hypertension and diabetes mellitus, smoking and chronic liver disease.
