Abstract
El objetivo principal de este trabajo fue explicar el fortalecimiento de la cadena productiva en palto (Persea americana Mill.) con certificación orgánica para exportación en el distrito de Chao - La Libertad. El lugar de acción para el proyecto estuvo localizado en los diversos pueblos, sectores y anexos rurales o urbanos del distrito de Chao, teniéndose como indicadores el número de productores inscritos en la asociación propalto, hectáreas en producción certificadas, hectáreas en producción no certificadas/transición (convencionales) y hectáreas nuevas de palto en instalación. Toda la información fue recopilada a través de registros, fichas de producción, file de productor y fichas de asesoría técnica en las visitas a cada productor de palto orgánico y productores en proceso de certificación, también se identificó el manejo agronómico que realizan hoy en día los productores y las normas que tienen que cumplir para poder obtener su certificación a través de la empresa compradora. Finalmente se realizó un diagnóstico sobre la situación actual de la asociación PROPALTO en el cultivo orgánico de palto y su crecimiento durante estos 5 años de fortalecimiento por medio de las diferentes instituciones. La estrategia del proyecto se centró en fortalecer las capacidades técnicas y normas orgánicas dentro de la asociación y así poder articular la oferta productiva a la empresa compradora, logrando así un mercado garantizado del producto y donde todos los actores de la cadena productiva de palto orgánico y en proceso, interactúen de forma sostenible. Se logró fortalecer a 66 socios las capacidades agronómicas y normativas en certificación orgánica con un total de 200.75 has, 6452 asistencias en manejo agronómico y certificación, se vendió 785,548 kg exportables de palto variedad Fuerte y Hass con certificación orgánica y comercio justo, alcanzándose certificar durante estos 5 años 420.55 has con certificación orgánica y 283 has comercio justo.

The project strategy is focused on strengthening the technical capacities and organic standards within the association and be able to articulate the productive supply to the acquiring company, achieving a guaranteed product market and where all actors in the production chain of organic avocado and in the process, interact sustainably.
