Abstract
ABSTRACT The present research work was developed between the months of March and May 2023, with the objective of evaluating the productive response in weight and carcass yield of Cavia porcellus in the east, in two altitudinal floors of Cajabamba in the district of Sitacocha, Cajamarca. As a result, it was obtained that the average total weight gain and carcass yield of the guinea pigs raised in the Jocos production unit at 2800 meters above sea level was 475.8g and 64.6% respectively, while in the Jocos production unit Lluchubamba 3210 meters above sea level was 488.9g and 60.2% respectively. There are no highly significant statistical differences for the total weight gain and carcass yield of the two groups raised at different altitudes (P>0.05).
