Abstract
The objective of this research was to establish the seroprevalence of DENV in voluntary donors from the blood bank of Hospital II-1 Tocache - San Martín. A study with a descriptive design was conducted on a sample of 158 voluntary donors who met the inclusion criteria according to PRONAHEBAS. Dengue virus is a viral disease with greater risk in tropical areas, due to environmental and climatic conditions, propitious for the development of its main vector Aedes aegypti and due to its different serotypes. It can be transmitted by vectors or through blood transfusions of donor blood components found during the virus window period. In the present investigation, the presence of IgM antibodies and the detection of NS1 antigen was determined by the ELISA test, Positive for dengue virus was observed, where the prevalence of dengue is 1.89% presenting positivity for IgM antibodies and the prevalence of NS1 antibodies by ELISA test where a positivity of 1.26% was observed
