Abstract
La presente investigación de tipo descriptiva correlacional se realizó con el propósito de determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento y el grado de ansiedad del familiar del paciente critico hospitalizado entre los meses agosto y setiembre del 2019 de en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos del Hospital III EsSalud Chimbote con una población muestral de 60 familiares que cumplieron con los criterios de inclusión, a quienes se les aplico dos instrumentos, uno referente al nivel de conocimiento del familiar y el segundo una escala de ansiedad ambos aplicados al familiar del paciente hospitalizado para medir la relación se utilizó la prueba de Kendall's llegando a las siguientes conclusiones: El 47.5% de los familiares refieren un nivel de conocimiento deficiente y regular sobre su situación de su paciente hospitalizado en situación crítica y solo el 5% manifiestan conocimiento bueno. El 62.5% de los familiares tiene un grado moderado de ansiedad, 37.5% grave, no presentan grado de ansiedad leve. Aplicando la prueba estadística de Tau b de Kendall = 0.212 p = 0.158, no es significativa, no hay relación entre variables
Description
The present descriptive correlational research was carried out in order to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and the degree of anxiety of the family member of the critical patient hospitalized between August and September 2019 in the Intensive Care Unit of Hospital III EsSalud Chimbote with a sample population of 60 relatives who met the inclusion criteria, to whom two instruments were applied, one referring to the level of knowledge of the family member and the second an anxiety scale, both applied to the family member of the hospitalized patient to measure the In relation to this, the test was used, Kendall's Tau b reaching the following conclusions: 47.5% of the family members report a poor and regular level of knowledge about their situation of their hospitalized patient in a critical situation and only 5% manifest good knowledge. 62.5% of the family members have a moderate degree of anxiety, 37.5% severe, they do not present a mild degree of anxiety.
